Ms. Halpern teaches trial skills to law students and lawyers in a variety of settings. We welcome you to contact the firm regarding teaching engagements.


National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA)    

Since 2001, Ms. Halpern has served as faculty at many NITA programs, including:

  • National Trial Program (Team Leader (2005), Assistant Team Leader (2001))
  • Southern Regional Trial Program (Instructor (2003))
  • Southern Deposition Program (Team Leader (2004-present), Faculty (2001-2003))
  • Rocky Mountain Deposition Program (Team Leader (2008-present), Faculty (2006-2007))
  • A significant number of in-house programs at firms and organizations throughout the country, dealing with depositions, trial skills, motion practice and advocacy, fact investigation and negotiations.

Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law

Since 2000, Ms. Halpern has taught at the SMU Law School in Dallas, Texas as an instructor for Trial Advocacy. Ms. Halpern became the lead instructor for the Trial Advocacy course in the Spring of 2009, and has served as the lead instructor for Trial Advocacy in the Spring semester of each academic year since then.

Trial & Deposition Skills

Ms. Halpern has participated in NITA trial skills, deposition and negotiation programs in a variety of settings throughout the U.S., and can assist in arranging such programs. In addition, Ms. Halpern is available as a luncheon speaker on a variety of trial and deposition topics.

Training for Notaries Public

Ms. Halpern has also developed a course designed to train and educate Notaries Public. Ms. Halpern has taught the course numerous times at Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, the Dallas Association of Legal Administrators, and Baron & Budd.
